Department of Applied Sociology
The Department of Applied Sociology offers courses for applied research in various sociological areas.
Compulsory courses are designed to help students cultivate independent research capability. Students can also choose among various elective courses to help them build their capability for real application of their knowledge.
Upon completing course requirements, students can continue on to the master or doctorate level, undertaking independent or joint research with the assistance of a faculty adviser.

The department takes a systematic approach focusing on cultivating in students diverse interpretations of social phenomena and their ability to find reasonable solutions to social issues based on scientific analysis.
